About Worley Weather

Worley Weather is a privately operated personal weather station serving the Worley Road and Banner Elk area of North Carolina’s High Country.

The station collects local weather conditions around the clock, including temperature, humidity, wind, rainfall and barometric pressure. Observations are transmitted to a local computer running WeeWX, which processes the data and updates this website automatically.

Why This Station Exists

Weather conditions in the mountains can vary considerably over short distances because of elevation, terrain and exposure. Worley Weather was created to provide nearby residents with conditions measured locally rather than relying solely on observations from a distant airport or regional weather station.
